The
American and African Business Women’s Alliance (AABWA) is an organization whose members represent business and professional women from America and Africa engaged in trade and investment. AABWA was established to foster business opportunities and access to markets through networks, linkages, mentoring and leadership development for women. AABWA seeks to increase international and intra-Africa trade and investment by encouraging business partnerships within the African continent and with the United States. |

AABWA
was established in February 2001 to empower the business woman by
fostering opportunities and access to markets in America and Africa
through networks, mentoring and leadership development.
AABWA is singularly focused on developing manage-ment skills in women that promote private sector trade and increased investment between these two great regions. Looking to the future, AABWA foresees a period of increasingly accelerating opportunities for women entrepreneurs and women corporate executives to realize their true growth potential in trade and commerce. As long-standing barriers to advancement fall and recognition of the managerial skills and capabilities of women in business grows, AABWA will stand ready to provide the resources necessary to foster such progress and success in America and Africa, as well as in the international marketplace in general. |
